There is always the worry that a company is keen to install a drainage system rather than be aware of your needs. This is why it is important to discuss with them what they will do before any installation work so as to prevent any issues occurring in future.

Fully qualified

This is something you should check before even contacting the company. It’s not as simple as looking for a certificate on the website- check with the board that is certifying the businesses in your local area as this will give you a better chance of getting the best possible people to do the job.

Of course it is not just the qualification that is important- experience is also crucial. You want companies that have the experience to get results and can demonstrate that they have worked on a number of drainage systems in the past (for example on our site we have a number of case studies to illustrate the systems we have worked on in the past.)

Drainage CCTV

At EDS we offer a drainage CCTV service. The reason that this is important is because it gives us the opportunity to check the quality of the pipework, as well as allowing us to find any ground water entry to the system.

There are other reasons why this is important- crucially it can be vital in cutting costs. It may be that the drain line that you have is fine as it is, it just needs to be relined. We can also record the findings onto a DVD alongside a full report, giving you a clear idea of both what needs to be done and how we intend to do it.

Test surveys

Of course it may be you already have a septic tank or other form of drainage system. But how can you be sure it’s effective?

This is why we offer a number of tests- for example pressure tests are done to check the water tightness of any drains while a percolation test is done to test the drainage rate of subsoil. These tests can make a big difference, ensuring that you can create a system designed to counter any potential problems that have been detected in these tests.

Free appraisal

Of course you may not necessarily have decided whether or not you want to have work done on your drainage. You may have previously had a quote and want to compare it with ours. There is nothing wrong with that which is why at EDS we are happy to offer a free onsite appraisal, giving you the chance to consider your draining options and what you would like done, without any obligation.

In short we recommend getting in contact if you would like to know more about the drainage options available to you and what would be best suited to your requirements please contact us and we will be happy to give you a free on site appraisal and the chance to find the ideal drainage system to suit you.
